What is a hexapod positioner?<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\n

A positioning hexapod<\/strong> is a precision robot made up of six linear actuators acting synchronously to position the movable plate in 6 degrees of freedom<\/strong>. Accuracy can reach a few tens of nanometers and\/or nanoradians. In contrast to conventional serial architectures, the hexapod is based on a parallel structure, giving it high rigidity, stability<\/strong> and repeatability<\/strong> in six degrees of freedom: 3 translations Tx, Ty, Tz and 3 rotations Rx, Ry, Rz.<\/p>\n

This technology, derived from mechatronics, is particularly well suited to applications requiring fine, complex positioning along several axes positioned in any frame of reference.
