X-rays of several tens of keV.<\/p>\n<p>This 70 sq.m. installation is located at IJCLab (formerly LAL, the Laboratory of the Linear Accelerator), in Orsay, France.<br \/>\nIJCLab is under the joint supervision of CNRS and Paris-Sud University.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]<iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uWUE-oz1PBo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; enable_animation=&#8221;true&#8221; animation=&#8221;fade-in-from-bottom&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h3>CUSTOMER REQUEST<\/h3>\n<p>In the experimental hutch of the ThomX X-ray source, the monochromator, the sample, and the detector should be positioned relatively to each other with very high precision and versatility.<\/p>\n<h3>THE SOLUTION<\/h3>\n<p>Symetrie offered a comprehensive turnkey solution based on two customized <a href=\"https:\/\/symetrie.fr\/en\/hexapods\/zonda\/\">ZONDA<\/a> hexapods to fit into the available space while optimizing the workspace. One hexapod positions the sample, the other the monochromator. A 360\u00b0 air-bearing rotation from LAB Motion Systems is integrated into the mobile platform of the sample positioning hexapod.<br \/>\nTwo other air-bearing rotations are installed under the hexapods to enable relative motions of the detector and the sample with respect to the monochromator and the beam.<br \/>\nSymetrie also supplied a natural granite base with excellent flatness in order to install the equipment, allowing high precision motions with outstanding stability.<\/p>\n<h3>PROJECT SPECIFICITIES<\/h3>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #449dd1;\">\u25a0 <\/span><\/strong>
