Micronora 2026

Symétrie will participate in Micronora 2026 and will showcase its SOLANO hexapod in the Zoom area

Meet our experts at the International Microtechnology and Precision Trade Show.

Symétrie will be exhibiting at Micronora 2026, the leading trade show dedicated to microtechnology, precision technology, and industrial innovation.
At this event, we will be showcasing our SOLANO hexapod, which has been selected for display in the Espace Zoom—a showcase for this year’s most notable technological innovations. Our teams will also present the BREVA and PUNA hexapods, designed to meet the demands of the most advanced industrial, scientific, and research applications.
Founded in 2001 and with a team of more than 50 experts, Symétrie designs and qualifies Stewart platforms for high-precision positioning and dynamic simulation. Our solutions are used in projects across the aerospace, space, astronomy, photonics, semiconductor, and synchrotron sectors, as well as in numerous other high-tech applications.

SOLANO: Ultra-Compact Design for Precision

Featured in the Zoom Area, SOLANO is an ultra-compact hexapod specifically developed for positioning and adjusting components that require minimal space while maintaining extremely high-precision performance.
With a resolution of up to 50 nm—nearly 1,000 times finer than a human hair—SOLANO meets the growing needs of the precision robotics, photonics, optics, and semiconductor industries. Its exceptionally compact dimensions—just 104 mm high and 120 mm in diameter—make it easy to integrate into environments where every millimeter counts.
Its parallel structure with six actuators ensures simultaneous positioning across all six degrees of freedom, with a level of stability, repeatability, and precision suited to the most demanding applications.

An Award-Winning Innovation

At Micronora 2022, Symétrie received the prestigious Micron d’Or award for one of its technological innovations. This award recognized our ability to develop increasingly high-performance positioning solutions for cutting-edge industrial and scientific environments.

FAQ

The hexapod can perform combined movements based on its six degrees of freedom: three translations (X, Y, Z) and three rotations (Rx, Ry, Rz). This flexibility allows for complex adjustments that are impossible with conventional guidance systems.

Our hexapods achieve resolutions on the order of 0.1 µm for translations and a few microradians for rotations. Repeatability is one of our strengths, ensuring the accuracy of every positioning operation.

We use high-performance materials such as anodized aerospace-grade aluminum, stainless steel, and components specifically designed for demanding environments (vacuum, cleanroom, non-magnetic).

Absolument. Nous fournissons des bibliothèques de fonctions (SDK) compatibles avec LabVIEW, C++, Python, ainsi que des interfaces spécifiques pour les environnements de recherche comme EPICS ou TANGO.

Safety and reliability are at the heart of our design. The software includes configurable travel limits, virtual collision detection, and hardware safety features to protect your equipment and samples.
